ABOARD THE AMUNDSEN

While its name may not ring a bell, chances are you’ve seen the Canadian Coast Ship Amundsen either anchored near your community, plying Arctic waters, or perhaps in your hand, on the fifty dollar bill. Building off the experience gained with the More Than Words Instagram story, this video focuses more on traditional journalism elements such as interviews, and less on interactivity. Unlike More Than Words, this video was shot horizontally which opened up new opportunities such as the ability to pan across footage. However, similar challenges were faced in the areas of framing (for text on video) and pacing (due to the 15 second Instagram story clip length).
